Football, Football, and more Football

As some of you may know, football season is starting. It's all my husband can think about, between the BYU game this Saturday and the 5, yes, FIVE... Fantasy Football league's he is in. I do love the fall and am excited for football season as well. Maybe not as much as he is, but it's cute how excited he gets about things. We were walking through Target the other day and he was pointing out all the fun things that will be coming to the stores with Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.

Life is good.

Just Like New

When you're a home owner it seems the things that plague your mind always comes back to money....and how so much of it goes into your house.

The carpet guy just left. And our carpet looks brand new. I mean, it is brand new. But now it's whole again. He repaired not one, not two, but FOUR different spots where Mojo tore up the carpet and after much heartache over my pretty new carpet looking not so pretty anymore, it's nice to have it back to normal.

And in my attempts to act like a grown-up (albeit, some days are better then others) I realize that money is just money. Although we love it and stress over it and spend most of our days working for it, I'm glad we have Mojo and in the end is carpet really worth all the yelling and crying and emotional rollercoaster rides? Probably not. Oh sure I'm just saying this because now it's fixed and it's like it never happened. And yesterday I had my head resting on my mascara stained pillow... well I guess today I'm more grown-up then yesterday. What can I say?

Thanks carpet guy. Really glad I didn't have to take work off for that. :)

Why Must I Deal?

Yesterday I got a phone call at work that went exactly like this....

Me: “Credit Management, this is Cami.”
Lady: “Monica please.”
Me: “There’s not a Monica that works in this department.”
Lady: “Is this Zions Bank?”
Me: “Yes. It’s the Credit Management Dept. Is that what you are looking for?”
Lady: “Private Banking?”
Me: “No. This is Credit Management. Do you know Monica’s last name? I can look up her number for you.”
Lady: “Williams?”
Me: “I don’t know. Is Williams her last name?”
Lady: “This is the number they gave me.”
Me: “There is a Monica Williams that works for Zions. Her number is 524-2343. You dialed 524-2345.”
Lady: “Okay”
Me: “Good-bye.”

I hang up.

Me: “Judas.” And roll eyes….now.
